Cancellation & Refund Policy

We want this to be simple and fair, in both directions. Here's exactly how cancellations and refunds work.
Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel anytime from your dashboard — there's no phone call, no "retention" process, just a cancel button. Cancelling:
- Stops all future billing immediately
- Pauses your published page (it comes down from public view, but your content is saved)
- Lets you resubscribe at any time to bring your page back exactly as it was
Free Trial
New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. Your card is required to start the trial, but you will not be charged during those 7 days. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing.
If you don't cancel, you'll be automatically charged on day 8, and monthly afterward, until you cancel.
If You're Charged By Mistake
Mistakes happen — whether it's a timing issue around cancelling right at the renewal point, a billing error on our end, or anything else that doesn't seem right. If you've been charged and don't think you should have been, email us at support@lilypad.link and we'll sort it out. In practice, this means:
- If you cancelled before your renewal date and were still charged, we'll refund it in full, no questions asked.
- If you forgot to cancel and were charged for a period you didn't use, get in touch within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund that charge.
- If something on our end went wrong (a bug, a billing error), we'll fix it and refund accordingly.
We're a small, independently-run service, and we'd rather resolve a billing issue quickly and fairly than have you go through your bank to dispute a charge. Please reach out to us directly first.
General Refunds Beyond Mistakes
Because Lilypad includes a 7-day free trial before any charge is made, we don't offer refunds for the standard case of "I paid and changed my mind" after the trial period — you've had the full week to try the product and decide before being charged. We think this is a fairer approach than charging upfront and offering refunds afterward.
If your situation doesn't fit neatly into the above, email us anyway. We'll look at it honestly and do right by you.
How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
